Richard Hughson- With over 30 years of performance experience in clown, magic, and physical comedy, Richard received his training from clown schools throughout the country, and has performed around the world. He is a founding member of Flower City Vaudeville, and a beloved solo performer.  As a retired mechanic and machinist, he builds many of the wonderful devices and gags used in The Laughing Classroom.

Michelle Halperin B.A., M.S. Ed. – Retiring with more than 30 years of experience as a New York State public school teacher, Michelle is excited to now be building shows celebrating learning and laughter. With performance training in Rochester and Ithaca, NY, and in Maine, Michelle’s passion for teaching and hands-on learning is what drives The Laughing Classroom and its workshops.
